Brunssum Open Air Theatre
The first sketches.
The design for this beautiful canopy was developed jointly with architect Ivo Rosbeek. The idea: a spatial canopy that refers to a tree leaf and improves the overall experience of visitors to the open-air theater.
Tailored solutions.
A customized solution requires a customized approach. The design was made feasible by our engineers; with attention to detail, the first sketches were converted to a 3D model. Constructive calculations were made based on this 3D model. The special feature of this design is the two different layers of technical textile, with a beautiful print on the bottom and a translucent top surface. This keeps the canopy clear and the print remains visible. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship, where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand.
Production and assembly.
The realization was provided and supervised by our team of professionals. From production to assembly, we realize what we design. A beautiful print provided by Printable b.v. combined with Polyned's craftsmanship, ensured an amazing end result.
End result.
The end result is an amazing canopy that blends perfectly with the surroundings of this open-air theater. The technical textile provides a cozy atmosphere that also has an acoustic effect. The print features a leaf pattern with iconic texts by theater personalities.
